Sunday mornings at 10.30am

for worship, teaching and a chat over coffee.

Tuesday evenings at 8.00pm

a time to encourage one another in an atmosphere of worship and prayer.

Meeting together is a vital part of the life of the church.  This is when we gather together to worship Jesus, to seek God's presence with us, and to inspire and encourage one another in our daily living. A time of worship followed by some Bible teaching feature strongly on Sunday mornings, though there is always a time for a chat over tea or coffee before we leave. The sermons are recorded and are available to download from this site for those who want to spend a little longer over what has been taught.

Tuesday evenings are less formal. We meet in a home and start off with tea or coffee. This is a time when we are able to catch up with one another's lives. We then have a time of worship, followed by some teaching (often a follow-up from Sunday's teaching) and then a time to pray for one another or for issues we feel the Spirit is leading us to intercede for.

The church believes in team leadership. Though we have one 'senior leader', there is a strong feeling of the whole team being involved in providing leadership for the fellowship. Currently there are two who are being paid on a part time basis to provide some of the input needed. You can find out a little more about the members of the team here.

At Emmanuel we believe that servant leadership is key and that high on the list of leadership roles is the need to release every person into his or her God given gift.

Like many churches in Wales and the UK, Emmanuel subscribes to the Evangelical Alliance's Statement of Faith. You may read it by clicking here (the link will take you to an external site).

Whilst correct doctrine does not in itself make a vibrant church, we do put a high value on sound teaching and believe that one way of seeing the life of Jesus flow out of us is by growing in our knowledge of him and his truth.

Vision

At Emmanuel, our vision is -
  • To serve God through worship;
  • To draw God's presence into the life of the fellowship and its members;
  • To serve those committed to ECA by providing a safe place where they can meet God in their place of need;
  • To serve the island of Anglesey through prayer, sharing God's love, and supporting the wider church.

Values

At Emmanuel, we value -
  • The church as a safe place where we can have close and transparent relationships with one another;
  • The presence of God manifested amoung us when we gather together, be it for worship, prayer, teaching, or social activities;
  • The island of Anglesey where we are based - its rich heritage, its churches, and its communities.
